What's the old saying, if you want something done, give it to a busy person? I applied that adage to myself this month. It's been challenging to find the time to configure the screen printing exposure unit time and negatives so I entered Sulfur Studio's call for entries for their "Outta this World" space themed show. I figured if any of my pieces were accepted it would be a good kick in the pants to dial in printing times. Well, glad to report three of my pieces were accepted!
Printing the pieces for this show was just the catalyst I needed to test negatives and print times. Explaining screen printing can be tough; there are several steps that are elusive if you haven't seen the equipment. I put together this short animation to at least show how the printed layers come together. Buy the print here!
